Announcing the beta release of Interactive Investor ‘Ask’

I’d welcome your comments on a new service we’re planning to launch - simply called, “Ask”.

It allows the iii.co.uk community to interact with one another by posing and answering questions on anything to do with money, investing, personal finance and no doubt one or two other non-topical conundrums.

To use it, you’ll need to use your iii.co.uk login (register for free if you need to); and will have confirmed your chosen ‘nickname’.  For users of our bulletin boards this is a process you will have already gone through.  Login at www.iii.co.uk/ask/ and we’ll inform you if and how you need to go through nickname step.

There’s one or two areas we’re working on:  avatars (the ability for you to upload a photo/icon/image to your user profile); search; page speed; user level rankings; and an RSS feed of all current questions for those who want to track them easily and become one our user gurus.

So, please give it a go.  I’ve loaded up a sample question and look forward to seeing a few more questions (and answers!) amongst our beta group over the next few days.

I bid you good night.
