Victoria joins Thrifty 30

As promised before I went on holiday, I’ve decided about Anglo-Australian carpet manufacturer Victoria. Because of its apparent cheapness and stability I added it to the Thrifty 30 portfolio this afternoon at 264p per share, the actual price quoted by my broker. As usual I charged the portfolio £10 commission and 0.5% stamp duty.

  • Excellent! I always liked this company for some reason. There used to be a section on the website where shareholders could get a discount on carpets. Just FYI in case you’re doing any decorating…

    • Thanks John. Perhaps this is the appropriate point to mention that I have a dust mite allergy and all our floors are wooden!
